Our story

Over twenty years of helping people sleep better

Sleep Unlimited was founded in 2003 on a simple belief: good sleep is the foundation of good health, and with the right understanding and support it’s achievable for almost everyone. More than two decades on, we’re a specialist sleep organisation working with individuals and families, clinicians and case managers, employers, charities and the legal sector.

Our work is rooted in sleep psychology and sleep physiology. Whether it’s a two-week actigraphy assessment at home, a training course for an NHS team or a keynote for a thousand delegates, everything we do is grounded in research evidence and delivered by qualified, experienced clinicians.

Too many people are told to simply live with poor sleep, or are offered medication before anyone has explained how sleep actually works. We want to change that – by giving people the knowledge to manage their own sleep, and getting them the right help when they need it.

How we work

Our approach

01

Evidence-based

We only use methods supported by research, including NICE-recommended approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for insomnia.

02

Education first

Understanding is the first step to change. We explain how sleep works so people can manage their own sleep – and support the people around them.

03

Ethical and professional

Our clinicians follow the British Psychological Society’s Code of Ethics and Conduct: respect, competence, responsibility and integrity.

04

Person-centred

Every assessment, report and plan is tailored to the individual – their routine, their goals and the people who care for them.
